FROM I-40 EAST
From I-40 East, take the Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard Exit 125, take the Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard Exit 125. At the top of the ramp, make a left onto Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard. Go through four lights and at the fifth light make a left onto Tate Boulevard, also called 1st Avenue. (There is a "Welcome to Hickory" sign in the median of Tate Boulevard.)
At the next light, turn right onto Highway 127, also labeled 2nd Street NE. Go down the hill and through three lights. As you go through the third light, look to your right and you will see a marker for the SALT Block. At the next intersection you will see the Library on the corner and another SALT Block marker.
Turn right at the marker onto 4th Avenue NE and turn right into our parking lot.
FROM I-40 WEST
From I-40 West, take the Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard Exit 125, take the Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard Exit 125. At the top of the ramp, make a right onto Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard.
Go through three lights and at the fourth light make a left onto Tate Boulevard, also called 1st Avenue. (There is a "Welcome to Hickory" sign in the median of Tate Boulevard.)
At the next light, turn right onto Highway 127, also labeled 2nd Street NE. Go down the hill and through three lights. As you go through the third light, look to your right and you will see a marker for the SALT Block. At the next intersection you will see the Library on the corner and another SALT Block marker.
Turn right at the marker onto 4th Avenue NE and turn right into our parking lot.
FROM US321 N
Take US 70E exit toward Hickory. Turn left on US 127N (McDonald's on corner beside turn). Turn right at first stop light to stay on US 127 N.
Stay on US 127N past the fire station (on left). Go through 2 stop lights after the fire station (you should see SALT Block sign at the second stop light).
Turn right at the next street (4th Avenue). You will be beside the library at that point. Parking is available in front of the building.
FROM US 321S
Turn left off 321 at Arby's (Old Lenoir Rd.). Stay on same street all the way through downtown -- past First Baptist Church, Frye Hospital sign, etc. -- and across Hwy 127.
After you cross 127, you will come to a blinking caution light. Turn left at the caution light. Come through next stoplight. The Arts and Science Center will be on your left, and the library is directly behind the Arts and Science Center.
